Pyrene Banyuls Cave de l'Abbé Rous 000 and 700It is a Vin Doux Naturel or a sweet wine with a higher alcohol content than "normal" wine, namely 16. 5%. Full, ripe Grenache grapes that are harvested in October and ripened partly in cellars and partly outside in full sun. The weather elements make the wine so special. Banyuls is only bottled after five or six years. The taste hovers between port wine and Madeira and it has retained a charming orange brown, light color. The bouquet of candied fruit
